Accelerating the journey to net zero

Hard-to-abate sectors progress towards net zero, but fossil fuels dominate 90% of energy use. Emissions intensity has dropped 4.1% since 2019, driven by cleaner energy and innovation. The 2024 Net-Zero Industry Tracker highlights urgent actions to close investment gaps, scale key technologies and accelerate net-zero readiness such as scaling clean hydrogen production and carbon capture technologies.
