AUTUMN ECONOMIC FORUM 2025 (HEF25)

The Ho Chi Minh City Economic Forum (HEF) has been an annual initiative hosted by the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City since 2018. It serves as a strategic dialogue platform that brings together leaders from governments, international organizations, major corporations, and experts to jointly explore key economic and technological trends aligned with sustainable development goals.

At the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland in January 2025, Prime Minister of Vietnam H.E. Pham Minh Chinh and Leaders of WEF held a strategic dialogue and reached a mutual understanding on elevating HEF into an international-level platform, with the WEF’s support and companionship.

Autumn Economic Forum 2025 (HEF25) will be co-branded with the participation of WEF and take place from 24 to 28 November 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City under the theme: “Breakthroughs for Shared and Ho Chi Minh City Growth”. HEF25 is expected to welcome the attendance of leaders from various governments with strengths in science, technology, and innovation; alongside 1,200 to 1,500 international delegates, including representatives from ministries and local authorities, international financial institutions (such as the World Bank, IMF, IFC, ADB), global organizations, diplomatic and consular missions, economic and investment promotion agencies, business associations, companies, and renowned experts in economics and technologies.

The content of HEF25 will focus on the following key areas: (i) Intelligent Economy: Opportunities and Challenges; (ii) Governance for Sustainable Development – Global to Local; (iii) Smart Manufacturing and Global Supply Chains; (iv) Global Collaboration and Responsibilities of Nations Towards Intelligent Economy; (v) Governing Megacity: Responsibilities of Stakeholders, from Ho Chi Minh City’s Perspectives.
